SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

$1,000 Scholarship for the graduating class of 2026.

Star Community Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike with sixteen practices and four mobile dental units, serving more than 52,000 patients across the Lehigh Valley, Carbon and Schuylkill counties in PA and Warren County, NJ. We are committed to delivering the highest quality care and fostering strong community partnerships.


In celebration of our continued success, Star Community Health will award five high school seniors, planning to attend a two or four-year college, a $1,000 scholarship to support them as they begin their college journey. We recognize the vital role education plays in shaping long-term health outcomes. Higher education opens doors to better job opportunities, which can lead to improved health and quality of life. Our goal is to help set local youth on the path to success.

HOW TO APPLY

For Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Wilson, North Schuylkill, Panther Valley, Phillipsburg, and Tamaqua School District Seniors

Application to be submitted by March 1, 2026 to Ellen.Denizard@starcommunityhealth.org: The subject line of your application email should be: Star Community Health Scholarship.

The application needs to include:

  • Name
  • Current High School
  • College/University You Plan to Attend in Fall 2026
  • Intended Major/Area of Study
  • Future Career Goals
  • Essay (1 – 2 pages) – What does health mean to you and how does it impact the trajectory of your career?
  • One Letter of Recommendation from a Teacher or Community Leader

Additional Details

  • Scholarship recipients will need to submit a W9 form to receive the scholarship check.
  • Star Community Health will host a small reception in April 2026 for the five winners and their families.
  • A shadowing experience will take place in late June/early July 2026. Students are expected to provide immunization records and other medical clearances. More information to come once selected.
